Hi, I’m Marguerite and I’m studying abroad in New Cross at Goldsmiths, University of London this semester! This is my first time in the UK and I’m excited to see what my semester brings. I’m keeping this blog as a document of my travel experience and also as something that other potential study abroad students can use.

I am originally from New York and I go to Hampshire College in Amherst, MA, where I’m currently studying American mass media, popular culture, and representation, politics, and culture within the media. I have also been studying creative nonfiction writing, and enjoy creative writing of all kinds! At Goldsmiths, I’ll be taking media studies and sociology courses and I’m excited to experience the British college system and the professors and students at Goldsmiths.

I don’t really know what to expect during this time abroad, but if you stick with me, we’ll both find out!
